HERMA certifications as per BfR and FDA

In the food industry, a large number of widely differing labels is used. The labels are either affixed to the food packaging (indirect food contact) or directly on the food itself, e.g. meat, cheese, fruit (direct food contact). To reduce the risk of toxic constituents of the adhesive or of the label from migrating into the food, the adhesive and the label material are checked for conformity with the requirements of the BfR (German federal institute for risk assessment) and of the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration).
HERMA has a large number of widely differing adhesive materials for you that meet the requirements of the BfR and the FDA, and that are hence suitable for labelling food.

In addition, a large number of HERMA label materials are approved for food contact.
